Peter Gabriel’s 1986 track Sledgehammer was a huge hit, but it was his video that took home the majority of the awards that year. The visual was one of the first stop-motion music videos to ever appear, which also featured claymation and pixilation.
The video holds a staggering 11 MTV Video music awards, and to this day, that is still the record for most awards won for a video!
