This week’s thursday throwback dates back to the glorious 90’s, and even more specifically, 1996. The video was directed by Jonathan Glazer and stars Jay Kay as he dances around a room that appears to moving in all directions, when actually it was the walls that were moving around him. The following year, ‘Virtual Insanity’ won several MTV Video music awards including ‘Breakthrough Video’ and ‘Best Video of the Year’. Although its nearly 16 years old now, the idea behind the video could compete with some of today’s best.
You might recognize Jonathan Glazer’s work, as he was the man behind Sony Bravia’s “Paint” commercial.
