Woodkid, aka Yoann Lemoine, is originally known as a very talented music video director, but that was before he decided to devote himself to make his own music (while still making incredible videos).
To introduce his upcoming album The Golden Age (early 2013), Woodkid jumped on a plane and headed to Paris to perform infront of a sold out crowd Le Grand Rex. Accompanying him on stage was a symphony orchestra of 32 musicians and a nice display of surrealistic video projections, showing off his talents in the live format. I always imagined what a Woodkid live performance would look like, but I never dreamt of something like this. Have a watch above, and check out “Iron” and three more tour dates below:
11/01 – NEW YORK, NY Irving Plaza – 7pm
11/02 – SAN FRANCISCO, CA Bimbo’s – 8pm
11/03 – LOS ANGELES, CA Luckman Theater – 8pm
